Awards Ceremony for Plant Salespeople

P1010072webP1010067web
Some people have "green thumbs" - but many Barton students must have "green tongues" if we are to judge by the huge quantities of plants they sold in the annual plant sale. Today the talented salespeople were rewarded with ribbons and trophies. Plant sale ringleader Mary Ann Fabel, dressed literally from head to toe in flowers, handed out hundreds of awards in a ceremony in the Commons today.

I lived at 4301 aldrich ave. from 1954 to the 70s, i was at barton since kindergargten, Mrs. Craighead was the teacher, Mrs.Blood was the principal,i remember when the recess grounds were coal clinkers. I remember seeing the coal trucks comming in. I loved that school and have many many good memories of that time. I am so greatefull you are still there. In fact one of my friends wives was or is a teacher there, Mrs Austin. is there any contact list of persons whom went to the school. I am the nurse case manager of the county of Frederick Maryland now. right outside of Washington D.C. thankyou,, steve stoyke, 1338 david lane frederick m.d.21703
