Family Patterns Night

Calsojth_1

Caklmn49_2 The entire school was immersed in art, math, poetry, dance and nature patterns for the Family  Patterns Night and Rug Raffle Drawing on December 15th!  Throughout the building were displays, activities and performances including factor fact find, the game of life, animal tracks, mural painting, uppers poetry slam and dancing, tetrahedron making, K-2 patterns and the building of a 1024 piece Sierpinski’s Gasket.  The evening ended with the rug raffle drawing and announcement of the total raised for our school, $17,502!  Thank you to all the families, teachers and staff who made this evening so fun and enlightening and our fundraiser so successful!

Family Patterns Night & Rug Raffle
Thursday Evening, December 15,
6:30 PM to 7:45 PM

“1, 4, 16, 64, 256, 1,024…Come out, come out, wherever you are!” It’s time to join the fun with the Barton community on Family Patterns Night

Come in from the cold and pick up a Passport to Patterns. Then, explore Barton classrooms to discover activities and patterns created by Barton students at every grade level. Hunt for patterns in language arts, math, science, games and art. Record your adventures in your passport, then come to the commons for Tetrahedron Madness and see how to build a Sierpinski’s Gasket.

You’ve heard it takes a village to raise a child; well, it takes the whole Barton community to build a Sierpinski’s Gasket...

Allison’s 7th-8th grade dance class will perform three dances in the commons starting at 6:30 PM. Throughout the evening Barton uppers’ students will read poetry in room 18. We will end the evening with the Rug Raffle Drawing around 7:30 PM in the commons.

Be part of the Barton pattern of building a stronger community. Hope to see you tomorrow evening!
